College Soccer Scoreboard: UW women beat Penn State for fourth win

Washington women 2:1 Penn State:  The Dawgs controlled the ball most of the first half, taking the 2-0 lead at the half. Penn State came out in the second half and scored its only goal of the game late, making several attempts to tie or even take the lead.

Washington men 0:0 Cal-State Northridge: The Washington men's soccer team is now 1-1-1 on the season after a scoreless tie in two overtime periods with Cal State Northridge in Fullerton, Calif., Friday night in California.

Idaho State 2:1 SeattleU women: Idaho State made the most of its two shots on goal, defeating the Redhawks 2-1 Thursday in Pocatello, Idaho and ending SU's winning streak at four games.

SeattleU men 1:2 Gonzaga:  Despite taking an early 1-0 lead, the Seattle University men's soccer team could not maintain their offensive momentum as they were edged 2-1 by Gonzaga University Friday afternoon. The game marked the Redhawks home opener and their opening game of the Seattle University Tournament. With the loss, SU falls to 0-3, while GU improves to 1-1 on the year.

Metro State 3:0 Seattle Pacific men: The 20th-ranked Metro State men’s soccer team avenged last season's upset road loss with a 3-0 home victory over Seattle Pacific on Friday in a non-conference matchup at Auraria Field.

BYU-Hawaii 0:0 Seattle Pacific women: They filled the stat sheet, but the goal remained empty Wednesday night as the 17th-ranked Seattle Pacific women settled for a 0-0 tie against BYU-Hawaii in a non-conference game at the Waipio Soccer Park.

WSU 1:3 Denver: Freshman Micaela Castain scored her fourth goal in the last two matches, but Washington State was defeated 3-1 by Denver in the Gonzaga Women's Soccer Tournament, Friday.
