The Washington Huskies Men are in Portland for the Nike Invitational, and they dropped a close 2-1 match to #21 ranked St. Louis last night. The Washington Women are at home hosting their own Nike Invitational, and they started well with a 3-0 win over Columbia on Friday. The Men continue tournament play against Virginia on Sunday in Portland. The Women host Colorado College at 1:30 PM Sunday.
The Seattle University Redhawks Men were in Tulsa,Oklahoma on Friday and ended up drawing the #14 ranked Hurricanes 1-1 in double overtime. The Redhawks Women lost a 2-1 cliffhanger at Cal-Poly. Up next for the SU Men is SMU at the Tulsa Classic on Sunday at 11:00 AM Seattle time. The SU Women next play Oregon State Friday Sept. 11 in Eugene in the Nike Oregon Classic.
Playing their 4th match in six days, the Seattle Pacific University Falcons Men drew 1-1 with Humboldt State to remain undefeated. The #1 ranked Falcons Women won a 3-0 affair over the Lumberjacks on Thursday. The Falcons Men host Chico State today at 4:30 at Interbay Stadium. The Women host Cal State East Bay today at 1:00 PM at Interbay.
