Ok Louisville area college students, midterms are over, the drop date has passed and its time to have some fun and unwind before finals sneak up. With St. Patricks Day right around the corner, warmer weather soon to follow and your tax return in your pocket, its time to come out of hibernation and get out and about. Keep reading for a few quick tips on how to ditch the winter blues and get ready for spring!

  1. Ditch that drab winter wardrobe. Its time to come out of those Louisvile sweatpants and over sized T-shirts and trade them in for the bright colors of spring. I'm a big fan of Bardstown Road shops if you're looking to buy clothing that you're not going to see on every other person on the street.
  2. Take it OUTDOORS! With Spring right around the corner it means that its time to get out there an enjoy that warm weather. While you're stuck studying, catch some sunlight outside, you'll be feeling great in no time.
  3. Rediscover your city. For those that like to stay in all winter long and avoid the cold weather all together its time to get back out there and see whats going on. Bars all around Louisville are throwing amazing drink specials like dollar drinks on Monday's and Thursday, $2 wells and other great deals. Head over to Phoenix Hill and catch a great indie band or down to Bearnos for open mic on Wednesday and $2 drafts.
  4. Don't ditch the books with your winter wardrobe. As temperatures climb, grades tend to fall. The better the weather, the less anyone wants to be stuck inside with their face in the books. The semester is already over half over guys! You've reached the point of no return so stay focused for these last few weeks and this summer is sure to be a glorious vacation!
