After releasing College Football’s most impressive teams on Monday afternoon, Florida State dropped some knowledge on the whole football world September 2. The performance by Jameis Winston and the Seminoles showed plenty of pundits that there’s no need to be hasty in your football decisions. It’s still hard to tell what was more impressive. Are we only marveling at Jameis Winston’s ability or are we believing in the Florida State Seminoles as a whole? Still, it’s hard discount what the defense displayed on the field.
After the Florida State victory, the new Examiner.com poll rankings were due and they should be out by Tuesday night. Every week, the Top 10+1 Sports team will release the individual votes for football fans everywhere to break down. While the poll results will be used for the National rankings, the Top 10+1 Power Poll may look a little different from week to week. The Power Poll will have also have more of a team analysis broken down.
A couple teams struggled on one side of the ball or the other. Alabama's big explosive plays came from one man. Christion Jones accounted for three touchdowns and only one was on an offensive play. The worst defense in the top 25 is a tie between Nebraska and Fresno State. Both teams will have to play much better if they expect to remain on the ballot. Check out the preseason rankings.
