The AP released the new college football poll on Sunday afternoon. There’s no surprise about who remains number one. The Alabama Crimson Tide stay at number one with 55 first place votes. The five other first place votes belong the Oregon Ducks. The PAC 12 school is coming off of a huge victory over Colorado and remain number two in the AP poll.
Clemson comes in at number three and they still may have the best victory of the season. It was the Tigers first time playing against new ACC rival Syracuse, yet they had no problem making the Carrier Dome feel like home.
Ohio State fought hard for their victory over Northwestern in a Big 10 showdown. They stayed at number four.
Stanford also had a close victory over Washington and they remain number five in the country.
As a whole, the top 10 teams stay the same, but there was movement within the rankings. Georgia and Louisville dropped a spot, while Florida State moved up two places. Their 63 point victory over Maryland was highly impressive. Texas A&M and LSU rounded out the rest of the first 10 teams.
There are nine undefeated teams ranked 11-25. That includes Oklahoma, Baylor and UCLA.
Three SEC teams with one loss are in the top 10.
