A number of the top 10 teams had a bye week, so the big games were at a minimum on Saturday. All eyes were on Florida State, and they continued to dominate their opponent. This time the Seminoles took out the Hurricanes in a tough game. The win was equally as impressive as Oregon's win over UCLA last week.
The top five remained unchanged as Alabama took their off week to prepare for LSU. Oregon and Stanford were also idle as they rested up for Thursday's blockbuster match up. Ohio State dominated another Big 10 foe to prove a point and Baylor was off to prepare for the tough portion of their schedule.
Clemson is back at number six with a blowout victory against Virginia. It's not the win that was so impressive, it's more that Clemson's only loss was to Florida State.
Auburn (8) moved into the top 10 just behind Stanford, while Louisville (9) and Texas A&M (10) round out the top 10.
Michigan State has a sharp rise in the poll with their crushing defensive effort over Michigan. They have suddenly become a legitimate threat to Ohio State's Big 10 championship.
BYU (23) and Texas (25) enter the poll submission. Stay tuned for the full Examiner.com ranking on Monday.
