Game of the Day

Michigan 67- Purdue 66

The Michigan Wolverines snatched a win from certain defeat when Glenn Robinson III knocked down an incredible lay-up at the buzzer on Wednesday night. Michigan came all the way back from a 19 point deficit in the first half.

Robinson finished with 17 points and eight rebounds to lead Michigan. Nik Stauskas added 15 points to out duel Purdue in a fantastic finish. The one point win keeps Michigan as the front runner for the Big 10 title.

For Purdue, the Johnson brothers, Terone and Ronnie, combined for 43 points. Still, it was not enough to give the Boilermakers a much needed Big 10 victory.

Instead of being tied in the standings with Michigan State, the Wolverines have a one game lead over the Spartans. They also have the tie-breaker, so this could be the game that gives Michigan the conference crown.

Game of the Day II

North Carolina 85- North Carolina State 84

North Carolina had a last second overtime victory of their own. Thanks to Marcus Paige’s game winner, the Tarheels won their 10th straight game. They used another second half comeback behind Marcus Paige’s brilliant play.

There was an old fashioned duel on the court between Marcus Paige and T.J. Warren. The North Carolina State forward scored 36 points, but his desperation heave at the buzzer fell short of victory. Paige scored 35 points, that included a lefty slice to the heart of the Wolfpack program.

With the win, North Carolina moved to (21-7, 11-4) in the ACC. North Carolina State fell to (17-11, 7-8).

North Carolina is looking like a #3 seed if their growth continues.
