Jerry Palm of CBS Sports released his new NCAA tournament projections on Friday. There wasn’t much movement throughout the bracket, but we did see a couple of teams swap positions.

Frank Martin suspended for one game at South Carolina.

The UCLA Bruins went on the road to win at Washington. Subsequently, they moved up one seed line to a No.6 seed. The move dropped Kentucky down to No.7 seed. Have no fear Wildcats’ fans. Kentucky has one last chance to make a great impression on Saturday. They get to face the No.1 overall seed, Florida in the SEC finale.

Louisville rises in the NCAA projections.

The Harvard Crimson (24-4) have the opportunity to punch the first bid to the NCAA tournament. They must come away with one of two victories on the road. On Friday, they play Yale, and Saturday Harvard visits Brown. Yale is the only Ivy League school to defeat Harvard, so this is a must win game.

Wichita State looks like a lock as a No.1 seed, but they can’t afford to lose on Friday. The Shockers face (14-18) Evansville for the third time this season. If Wichita State gets to the semifinals of the MVC tournament, they’ll be an official lock for a top seed.

Best projected second round games:

South

Baylor vs. Oregon 8/9 Seed

Both teams looked like top 10 teams earlier in the season. Then conference play started they each had a hard time with familiar foes. Late in the season, Baylor and Oregon have rebounded to reach 20 wins. The winner of this projected match up would face a No.1 seed.

Louisville vs. Iona 4/13 Seed

If you haven’t seen Iona play, you’re missing out on a real treat. This potential match up could be the most entertaining game of the entire weekend. Louisville would no doubt try to press the Gaels, and the Iona would attack this pressure to score.

Midwest

Memphis vs. Arkansas 6/11 Seed

The Razorbacks have won six games in a row, so their stock has been rising. Memphis has been under the radar, but they have plenty of skill all around the court. Pressure defense and intense full court action would be in order. How many spectacular dunks would this game produce.

East

Syracuse vs. Vermont 2/15 Seed

Syracuse has met Vermont twice since 2005 in the tournament. In the first meeting, the Catamounts won by three in overtime. In 2010, Syracuse got the best of Vermont by 23 in a 1/16 match up. There's no doubt that this game would be highly entertaining.

West

Creighton vs. Belmont 4/13 Seed

If you want to see great shooting, this is the game to watch. Belmont hasn’t broken through as an upset special yet, but in due time they will pick up a coveted tourney win. Any game Doug McDermott plays in is a must watch. A potential game would likely produce more than 20 three point makes.
