The AP Poll was released on Monday, and once again, the Syracuse Orange are the number one team in the country. With 23 straight wins to start the season, Syracuse isn’t the talk of this week’s poll either.

The other undefeated team, Wichita State, has won 25 in a row, and they are currently fourth in the country. Still, that’s not the biggest story the second week of February.

Marcus Smart pushes Texas Tech fan and gets three game suspension.

The SMU Mustangs entered the poll for the first time in 29 years. At (19-5), SMU has been dominant at home so their jump into the rankings was expected. They moved all the way to number 23.

The top six teams from last week remained exactly the same. Two top 10 teams dropped in the AP poll. Cincinnati’s loss to SMU dropped them three spots to number 10, while Michigan fell from 10 to 15.

The Duke Blue Devils jumped into the top 10 to number eight.
