The college basketball AP poll released their brand new rankings on Monday. The Arizona Wildcats remain number one, followed by Syracuse. Both teams had big wins during the week in entertaining rivalry games. Syracuse survived a gritty game against former Big East foe, Pittsburgh, while, Arizona annihilated Arizona State with rugged defense.

Michigan State moved up one spot following Wisconsin’s two losses. The Spartans are the highest ranked Big 10 team, and so far they have survived the gauntlet. Ohio State has gone from a top two team all the way to 17. Wisconsin has fallen all the way to number nine.

CBSsportsline.com reported that the Big 12 has six teams ranked in the top 25. Although Kansas was struggling earlier in the season, they’ve been winning at a rapid rate during the conference season. Their two point win over Oklahoma State, moved the Jayhawks into the top 10.
