College basketball has voted a new No. 1 team on Monday, and it's the Florida Gators. The past two months the AP poll has been fairly consistent with the number one team. Before Arizona lost, they were widely regarded as the No. 1 team in the country. Then Syracuse went a couple week's as the unanimous number one vote receiver.

However, the Orange lost twice last week and it was time to bring in a new team. That's where the Gators persevered. Although Wichita State is the lone unbeaten team left in basketball, the Shockers still find their program in second place. Still, they are well represented when it comes to first place votes.

Florida received 47 of the 65 first place votes. Wichita State earned 14 of those votes, while Arizona gained four first place votes.

Creighton finally moved into the Top 10, but the Blue Jays are still one spot behind Villanova. St. Louis remained at No. 10, but they haven't lost a conference game yet.

North Carolina moved back into the poll with a great month of February games. The Tarheels have won eight straight and jumped all the way to No. 19.

New Mexico also got back into the poll with a dominating victory over San Diego State.

SMU proved that their short stay in the poll wasn't a fluke. After getting upset by Temple, SMU came back with a strong week that included a road victory over UCONN.
