Colin Trevorrow to direct 'Jurassic Park 4'

It has finally happened!

Collider is reporting today that Colin Trevorrow (“Safety Not Guaranteed”) has been hired by Universal Pictures to direct the upcoming sequelJurassic Park 4.”

A fourth film in the almost two billion dollar franchise has long been in the works, but many issues had kept it from ever happening (like a horrible script in which the dinosaurs had guns on their backs…).

Steven Spielberg (“Minority Report”) is still on board as producer, and he has also had script approval over this film.

While he doesn't have a lot to his name right now that means he has a lot more to prove than other directors, and he is also a huge fan of the franchise; so while I’m a little nervous for the film I think he will certainly try his hardest (and u can bet he will have people helping him every step of the way).

One can only hope “Jurassic Park 4” makes up for the nonsense that was “Jurassic Park 3.”
