The scene is idyllic. It is an enchanting day to take your lady love on a slow canter surrounded by the isolation and natural beauty of Prospect Park in New York. The good looking young couple is enthralled by the magic of the moment. They feel one with each other as the stunning white stallion carries them effortlessly through the countryside.
In momentary wild abandon, Jessica Brown Findlay and Colin Farrell ride the big horse. She takes the opportunity to wrap her arms around Farrell’s waist as though she was hanging on for dear life, sitting tight behind him and clutching his body firmly.
Together Farrell and Findlay have been filming Winter’s Tale. In the movie production, Farrell is the handsome leading man and Findlay is his beautiful love interest.
They are putting the horse through his paces, cantering in true style and spirit. Prospect Park has great open spaces to let the stallion stretch his legs and allow him to run. Looking magnificent and with his riders sitting tightly, the white horse takes on an etherical look fitting and most suitable for his role in the movie. After all, the horse plays the guardian angel for Peter Lake, Farrell’s character in Winter’s Tale.
Having learned to ride for Alexander in 2004, Farrell and the former line dancing instructor’s natural rhythm give them a comfort level on the big horse. As if enjoying himself immensely, the horse runs on as though he were barely touching the ground. Each character seems to be enjoying the experience as they film scenes for Winter’s Tale.
It’s shaping up to be a delightful movie, not to be missed.
