In a game that saw Colgate's Charlie Finn take to the two hundred by one hundred foot ice sheet at Mariucci Arena versus Minnesota's Adam Wilcox, the Gophers and Raiders had to settle their score in a shootout.

Three goals in the second period--two by Colgate and one for Minnesota--put the Raiders ahead 2-1 after forty minutes after Minnesota outshot Colgate 13-6 in period number one. The first goal of the period went to Minnesota's Michael Brodzinski at 2:25 without an official assist on the even strength goal. That was Brodzinski's fifth goal of the season.

Colgate's first marker went to Joe Wilson at 8:29 on even strength. Wilson's second goal of the year had assists from Tim Harrison and Andrew Black. Nearly seven minutes later, at 15:14, Colgate notched its second goal as Darcy Murphy netted his ninth goal of the season (even strength) from Daniel Gentzler and Mike Borkowski, who were credited with the primary and secondary assists respectively.

Minnesota's Travis Boyd tied the game at two on the power play at 10:31 (off a roughing minor for Colgate at 9:44) when he scored his fourth goal of the campaign. Boyd had assists from Mike Reilly and Kyle Rau.

The game went down as a tie in the record books, but Colgate won a shootout 2-1 when Mike Borkowski and Ryan Johnston lit the lamp. Kyle Rau scored Minnesota's lone shootout goal. Attached is the official scoresheet, which won't account for the shootout goals.

Minnesota will take on RPI in the consolation game at 7pm Saturday on Big Ten Network and Ferris State and Colgate will meet at 4pm to decide the tournament champion.
