Avicii has been dominating both Billboard charts and dance clubs with motivational, upbeat tracks like "Wake Me Up," "Hey Brother," and "Levels." The 24-year-old Swedish EDM producer has attracted hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, and has even scored two Grammy nominations.
With all the hype Avicii has been stirring up the past few years, it is no surprise that Coldplay has chosen to work with him on their new track "A Sky Full Of Stars." The new single will appear on Coldplay's new album Ghost Stories, which will be released, as always, through Parlophone Records on May 19. The album was recently listed as one of Examiner's top 10 most anticipated albums of Spring 2014.
This newest release will be the sixth track to be pre-released out of the nine tracks appearing on the new album, giving fans a taste of the many diverse flavors they have to offer. "A Sky Full Of Stars" marks the bands embrace of newer EDM stylings, not too dissimilar from their other recent release "Midnight,"which received a Disco House remix from legendary producer Georgio Moroder.
Despite the drama surrounding Chris Martin's recent split with Gwyneth Paltrow, Ghost Stories is shaping up to be Coldplay's most diverse and progressive album to date. Take "A Sky Full Of Stars" for a spin for yourself to see just how far the Brit-Rock superstars have come since they released "Yellow" in 2000.
