At 6 AM Baltimore’ BWI hit 4°F at BWI. That breaks the mark set 141 years ago in 1873
*This is the COLDEST temperature EVER in Baltimore for the Month of March!
*Last night we hit 6F by midnight, resetting that record as well.
After 3.8 inches of snow yesterday at the airport pushed Baltimore over the 30 inch mark for the season, the arctic air settled in. The fresh snow helped to assist the cold and just before a band of early morning clouds rolled in to stop the drop.
This is colder than the entire month of February and the lowest since hitting 3°F on January 23rd in the middle of our last arctic blast.
I called for a cold and snowy winter based on many reasons, and it has been since the record early start for the local ski resorts the day after Thanksgiving, helping to prove validation for my atmospheric memory theory…
