High pressure continues to hold onto the Clarksville area today as mostly sunny skies are once again expected today. Temperatures will be slightly below average, in the lower fifties today. A strong system will move into the Clarksville area Monday afternoon and will bring periods of rain to the region overnight Monday. Some of the rain will be heavy at times as this system moves through. A deep trough will develop over the eastern United States and will bring below average temperatures as far south as the Gulf coast.
