Complete your winter look with a pair of classic, knee-high boots.

Between holiday revelry and counting down the last days of 2012, you long simply for cozy comfort. On top of it all, Huntsville is freaking freezing and you long only to be warm. You bundle up in layers with sweaters, belts, skinny cords and maybe even a pair of tights and brave the skating rink behind the museum in Big Spring Park or scour Bridge Street for winter sales. When it’s as cold as this, there’s only one option: Boots. While ankle grazing styles are fine for some, you crave the comfort, practical warmth and staying power of a pair of classic knee high boots.

This is a boot that won’t go out of fashion. Don heeled versions with a pencil skirt on chilly days and flat styles pair perfectly with shorter hemlines and cozy tights. Of course, any of these styles wears beautifully with skinny jeans or leggings. For a fabulous, universally flattering look, pair your favorite soft tee or turtleneck with a waterfall front cardigan (be sure it covers your rear but hangs longer in the front) and add a thin belt just above the narrowest part of your waistline. Slip on super skinny pants in a substantial fabric and step into knee-high boots. It’s cozy, comfortable and superbly flattering.

Whether you crave heels, flats, a bit of edge or a sleek preppy look, this line up has something for everyone and many of the styles are available in wider calf circumferences. So slip on those Rock-Star Skinny and step into a pair of these long-wearing boots. Check out the slideshow to see and shop the styles.
