Arctic high pressure will build across northern Ohio today. Snow showers this morning across the northern snow belt will gradually diminish this afternoon. Otherwise, it will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs around 20 degrees. Winds W 10-20 mph with wind chills of 5 to -5.
Tonight will be partly cloudy. Any lingering snow showers across the far northeast will end this evening. Lows tonight will range from 8 to 15 degrees. Winds SW 10-15 mph with wind chills 2 to -6.
On Friday, it will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 20s. Winds W 5-10 mph.
A storm system will intensify over the Mid Mississippi Valley Friday night and track east-northeastward into the Ohio Valley on Saturday. Clouds will quickly increase across our area Friday evening in advance of this system. Snow will develop from west to east after midnight. Lows will be around 20.
On Saturday, it will be cloudy with snow likely. Highs will be near 30 degrees.
Looking ahead: The storm system will slide to our east Saturday night. Snow will continue through the evening, then gradually taper off from west to east overnight. Lows will be in the low to mid 20s.
A deep, cold trough will set up over the eastern Great Lakes Sunday through Tuesday. Occasional disturbances will rotate around the trough bringing us a threat of snow showers each day. Highs on Sunday and Monday will be in the mid 20s with lows in the teens Sunday night and around 20 Monday night. Highs on Tuesday will climb to the upper 20s to near 30 degrees.
