Colbert-Busch team has 'Open House' at Summerville office on Saturday

Sometimes political campaigns need to open their own doors before they can begin their door-to-door canvassing.

The Colbert-Busch for Congress team in Dorchester County is doing just that tomorrow, and with an “Open House” at its Summerville office.

The public’s invited to drop by 116 W 2nd N St beginning at 12 noon on Sat., March 2. The local team will have refreshments on hand as they meet active voters who want to learn more about Elizabeth Colbert-Busch’s campaign.

Attendees will also be invited to join in on a “Day of Action” that same Saturday afternoon. In two different shifts – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Colbert-Busch supporters can canvass, reaching key voters at their homes to remind them about the March 19 primary.

For tomorrow’s “Day of Action,” drivers for these canvassing teams are also needed, and so are folks who can bring their own computers to the local office to help with data entry tasks.

Data-entry volunteers, along with persons who can help with phonebanking, are also invited to Colbert-Busch’s Dorchester County campaign office on Sun., March 3 for a 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. shift.

The Democratic primary in this special election for the 1st Congressional District is March 19.
