Col. Paul Cook (Ret.), who serves as the congressman for the 8th Congressional District, will be in town next week to meet with residents. His district includes Barstow and surrounding areas.

On March 18, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Col. Cook is hosting a “meet and greet.” He hopes to update constituents on happenings in Washington as well as listen to their concerns and ideas.

“I’m excited to meet with constituents in Barstow next week. These meet-and-greets are a great opportunity to hear from the people I represent. I want to take their ideas with me back to Washington,” wrote Cook in an email today.

The event will be held at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 2710 Lenwood Road, Barstow. Residents who want to attend need to R.S.V.P. at or call the Apple Valley district office at 760.247.1815. To learn more about Col. Cook, check out his website at
