Take it from a few puppets, growing up isn’t easy. Make no mistake though, the Tony award-winning musical comedy parable ‘Avenue Q’ is built for teenage and adult audiences! Set in New York City, it is also far from Sesame Street. Created by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marks, ‘Avenue Q’ stands as one of the longest running shows in Broadway history, humorously tackling mature themes about love and what it means to grow up.
Cohasset Dramatic Club is bringing ‘Avenue Q’ to the South Shore for the very first time! Having recently finished a week-long Puppet Training Camp held by professional trainer and ‘Avenue Q’ veteran Kevin Noonchester, the cast is thrilled to perform this exciting show on Fridays and Saturdays from Friday, March 8 through Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. Two Sunday matinees will take place on March 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. As part of their training, puppeteers used mirrors to perfect navigating their furry friends.
Performances take place at Cohasset Town Hall at 41 Highland Avenue in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Learn more about this unique show at www.avenueq.com.
