Cohasset Dramatic Club premieres ‘Shrek the Musical’ on the South Shore March 14

A wisecracking donkey, a fire breathing dragon, a princess, and a lovable ogre make up this hilarious, unconventional fairy tale that became so beloved, it launched three film sequels! Making its debut on the South Shore of Massachusetts and based on the tremendously successful Pixar family film by Dreamworks, Cohasset Dramatic Club is proud to present ‘Shrek the Musical’ for three weekends starting Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. Visit www.cohassetdramaticclub.org for further details!

Directed by Lisa Pratt, music direction by Mark Bono, and choreography by Tara McSweeney Morrison, ‘Shrek the Musical’ is a fairy tale about an ogre tasked with an epic quest to save a princess. This comic fairytale unlocks a surprising new world of unexpected friendships, amazing adventures, and encounters with awfully familiar fairy tale characters along the way!

The award-winning ‘Shrek the Musical’ is filled with upbeat, heartfelt pop numbers such as ‘Big Bright Beautiful World,’ ‘Don’t Let Me Go,’ ‘This is How a Dream Comes True,’ and the Monkees signature hit, ’I’m a Believer.’

With music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsey-Abaire, performances for ‘Shrek the Musical’ will be held at Cohasset Town Hall, 41 Highland Avenue in Cohasset Massachusetts on Fridays and Saturdays on March 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees will be held on March 16, 23, and 30 at 2 p.m.
