Coffrin’s ATA Martial Arts of Bloomington, Illinois is celebrating a milestone achievement. The Owners, Mr. Corey Coffrin and Mrs. Elisha Coffrin, have recently received a high honor from their Instructors and the Masters of American Taekwondo Association (ATA). The Senior Leadership of the ATA has awarded this outstanding Instructor/Owner team with their Blue Collars in recognition of the impact they have had on their community and the strength of their program.
The Blue Collar is awarded to Instructor/Owners in recognition of their efforts to develop a school with real impact in their community. To qualify to wear the Blue Collar on their uniform an Instructor/Owner must be dedicated to building a high quality martial arts program and working diligently to improve their community. The Coffrins have achieved just this type of success, focusing on continuing education and development for themselves, their students, and the Bloomington/Normal Community.
In just the past year the direct efforts of the Coffrins have positively impacted the lives of more than 200 new students and their families, placing their school in the Top 50 Schools for Growth. This dynamic team also trained more than 40 Community Leaders through their programs, placing them in the Top 50 Leadership Schools. These accomplishments are no small feat in an organization of over 1000 schools in the United States alone. It is this type of positive community effort that the ATA looks to recognize when they award the Blue Collar.
