Moisturizer – Natural oil soaks well in the skin making it very soft and brings the moisture back to life.
Before/After Shave Cream – Oddly works for before or after shaving, making it smoother preventing bumps and rough dry skin.
Eczema – The vitamins help reduce the little bumps that we often have on the outside of our arms. Same goes for rashes as well.
Makeup Remover – just like lotion, can easily take off makeup with a cotton ball or q-tip, simple!
Facial Scrubs– This is probably one of my favorite, DIY beauty facials. Whether you mix in a sugar or not, the natural oil moisturizes the face well. If you have dry skin, it may even help with preventing acne.
Scalp/Split End Treatments – Great for dry, damaged or tangled hair. Rub in, leave on for 10-20 minutes and wash out.
Smoothes Hair – Using just a little bit, rub into hair to reduce frizz. Similar to pomade, but don’t use much or it’ll leave your hair looking greasy.
Helps Stretch Marks – It may be impossible to absolutely erase stretch marks from our bodies, but coconut oil will help just as much as a cream would, especially since many contain this ingredient.
Chapstick – Vaseline is often used as a chapstick as well. The oil will not only coat and moisturize but protect from the sun from its natural SPF.
Foot Cream – Whether your feet are sore, dry or itchy, rub on feet a couple times a day. This is the perfect treatment.
Those are just some of the reasons I enjoy using it. I learned to even love the smell of coconut because I use it. Especially when you are using it for cooking oil, yum! I bought my Nutiva brand of Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil from GNC, but it is sold at most pharmacy stores, with the vitamins. It is stored at room temperature and looks hard. It easily gets soft from touching it with your fingers.
