Where Save the Coconuts goes, fun, laughter, inspiration and a ton of good work follows. The non-profit group, whose mission is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight breast cancer and make life easier for those living with the disease, will host the second annual CocoBlanco at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis.
Cocoblanco is not exactly the typical vanilla charitable fundraiser (not that there is anything wrong with typical fundraisers), but instead centers on the idea of a “festively fun ball.” This year, guests are encouraged to show up in white attire and get ready to dance, eat and party the night away. The event takes place on Friday, March 2, and is all-inclusive for a per-person ticket price of $85. Live entertainment will be provided by Sly 45. Additional festivities include a silent auction, face painting by Crystaloony, photography from Annapolis Women Photographers, and plenty of food and cocktails. (continued below)
“We are very excited to be returning to the Loews Annapolis Hotel for our Second Annual Coco Blanco Event! This has become our signature event, with all of the proceeds raised staying in the local Annapolis community. Save The Coconuts strives to raise funds and awareness of breast cancer causes through fun events, and based on last years reaction, we have achieved it with Coco Blanco. Dig out your whites and come party with us!” - Marie Dall'Acqua (event co-chair)
The event still has tickets available on their website and is currently seeking sponsors and silent auction donation items.
