Cocktails to ring in the Year of the Dragon

Chinese New Year begins today, Monday, January 23rd and with it starts the Year of the Dragon. Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel is celebrating with festive cocktails that hold a special meaning for this important Chinese holiday. Make these up yourself or head into the hotel today and ring in the new year of 4710. Guests to Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel will be greeted with Chinese welcome treats as they enter the hotel.

Spring Cup: Chinese New Year is the arrival of Spring, and this drink is inspired by the season's fruits and berries.

Ingredients
45 ml Tanqueray No. 10

15 ml Dita Lychee

15 ml Peach Liqueur

15 ml Cranberry Juice

20 ml Tonic Water

Method
Pour all ingredients in glass with ice and garnish with orange, apple, cucumber, lime, lemon slice and mint leaves.

10 ml Campari

30 ml Hawthorne Berry Juice

20 ml Fresh Lemon Juice

20 ml Homemade Lychee Syrup

Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker. Shake hard with ice. Strain into glass and garnish with caramelized Hawthorne berries.

Method
