Super Bowl 47 (XLVII) will be played this coming Sunday, February 3 in New Orleans with NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers taking on the AFC Champions, the Baltimore Ravens. In what is the most watched event during the year, fans gather around their televisions at home, at a party with friends or even at a bar, the Super Bowl is an orgy of over-abundance in food and drink.
Below are four cocktails which are inspired by the city, the team, or even a former owner. Enjoy these at your Super Bowl Party.
San Francisco Cocktail
- ¾ oz Sweet Vermouth
- ¾ oz Sloe Gin
- ¾ oz Dry Vermouth
- 1 dash of Orange Bitters
Shake and Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry.
Cable Car
- 2 oz Captain Morgan's Rum
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 1/3 oz Lemon Juice
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass that has been chilled, and rimmed with cinnamon-sugar. Garnish with a lemon twist.
It takes a Thief
(Inspired by Art Modell moving the Cleveland Browns in the middle of the night to Baltimore in 1995 to become the Baltimore Ravens)
- ¾ oz DIMMI
- ¾ oz Genever
- ¾ oz ran Classico Bitter
- ¾ oz Lemon Juice
Shake all ingredients with ice and add to a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
Raven Shot
- 1 oz After Shock
- 1 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Pour into a shot glass and shoot
