Whether you are madly in love or will be in the mood for an Anti-Valentine’s Day party this February, drum up some of those warm fuzzy feelings on February 7th at Cocktails Are For Lovers! Held at New York’s Astor Center, this two-hour event (starting at 7:30) will highlight spirits, cocktails, punches and more by some of New York’s best bartending talent. Food will be provided by Jeepney, with music by DJ Tomas Moves.
Hosted by The Dizzy Fizz Selena Ricks-Good, this event was dreamed up by a request from single friends for a singles party. “That got me thinking how spirits, wine and beer have been viewed as a social lubricant since the beginning of civilization,” she said. “So rather than have a party just for singles, let’s all get together and celebrate those mysterious qualities that make cocktails so romantic and alluring. Mixologists today are using herbs, spices, scent and garnishes to create drinks that can make that first date – or fifth anniversary – an unforgettable experience.”
