Do you ever feel challenged when it comes to mixing cocktails? Are you hosting a party and nervous about having to make drinks for your guests? Well there is now a book that breaks it down step by step, and makes it super easy. Consider it a sort of making cocktails for dummies. Cocktail Step-by-Step is by Parragon, part of their Love Food cookbook series, making cooking and now cocktail making easy.
I had the pleasure of experiencing the simple cocktail making process at the New School of Cooking in Culver City, where they whipped up fantastic dishes to accompany our fabulous cocktails. From an Old-Fashioned, paired with scrumptious deviled eggs, to a perfect Manhattan fittingly paired with delectable beef atop sweet potato, my taste buds were singing! Or how about a Salty Dog with a classic BLT? The best part was the book breaks down the cocktail making process so precisely that each cocktail was smooth and just right, perfectly pairing with the food, none overbearing.
I also got the opportunity to make my very first cocktail, my favorite, a Mojito. It always looked like a complicated drink to make, but following the steps laid out by the book, it was actually easy. It definitely made for a fun night, and there's no doubt that this is the perfect entertaining book, either to make drinks for your friends, or for everyone to take part in the fun.
In the book, you'll find cocktail recipes for all the classic favorites featuring vodka, tequila, whiskey, gin, wine, and more.
