May is Better Hearing and Speech Month and Cochlear Corporation is trying to put the buzz about hearing loss into a million ears this month. They are campaigning for everyone to spread the word about hearing loss and the importance of early detection and this cochlear implant company has already reached almost 200,000 people. Here's what they say.

Have You Heard? More than 30 million Americans are exposed to dangerous levels of noise on a regular basis! Make sure your loved ones wear hearing protection! Help us reach the Million Ear Challenge by reposting this message today http://bit.ly/millear"

Cochlear implant recipients like Rachel Chaikof from Cochlear Implant Online, a recent intern for Cochlear Americas, have already taken action. She designed a poster which can be printed from her website to be displayed in doctor's offices, clinics and anywhere people want to spread awareness about hearing loss. Many others are following suit and the word about hearing loss is being dispersed all throughout Facebook, email and personal websites and blogs.
