Although Dasani is a popular bottled water, many consumers who purchase this bottled water from Coca-Cola were shocked to hear what Coca-Cola had to say about Dasani. Those buying bottled water in an effort to avoid chlorine and other chemicals, as well as bacteria in tap water, may not be getting what they are paying for.
Coca-Cola is not alone in promoting the water they want consumers to buy as being the best choice. Dasani is not a bad choice for bottled water, but is not what consumers thought they were buying. Many feel they are getting spring water, which is thought to be purer than tap water.
While many communities will inform consumers how the water provided through their tap is filtered, cleaned or purified, most do not believe drinking from their tap is a healthy choice.
Coca-Cola has long promoted Dasani as being a wise choice, with some feeling they have been told the water is something it is not. Coca-Cola has added several flavored Dasani products to the mix.
Those purchasing bottled water may feel Coca-Cola is intentionally keeping the truth from them. According to the Dasani bottles many may have in their possession, the information expected is not there.
