Cobb County woman robbed at gunpoint at Kroger

The Cobb County Police Department is searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint as she was leaving a local Kroger store in Vinings.

According to the police report, a woman was loading her groceries into her vehicle earlier this week in the Riverview Village Shopping Center off of Cobb Parkway when an assailant held her up at gunpoint and demanded her belongings. In a press release today, Cobb police spokesperson Sgt. Dana Pierce stated that the suspect grabbed the victim's purse, then fled the scene by foot.

“The offender fled from the scene on foot southbound on Cobb Parkway after he picked up the victim’s pocketbook from the ground," Pierce said.

The victim was not physically hurt during the incident and was able to give a description of her alleged robber. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-4 black male between the ages of 20 and 30. He has a thin frame and was last seen wearing khaki pants, black shoes, and a black sweater with red designs on it.
