Cobb County man accused of blackmailing teens for porn

After an indictment last month, a Cobb County man was arraigned in federal court this week for urging minors to send him pornographic photos while threatening to expose them.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 27-year-old Tremain Hutchinson of Mableton has been accused of not only coercing teenage girls into sending him nude pictures, but also threatening to show the pictures to their parents, friends, and social media websites if they didn't send more.

The investigation started last February when the mother of one of the victims found images of her children partaking in sexual activity. She called the police shortly after, and investigators learned that the minors had been talking online to a 16-year-old boy named Mario. However, the 16-year-old boy turned out to be Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was arrested and charged with 17 offenses, ranging from 10 counts of enticing and coercing minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct, five counts of enticing the minors to engage in sexual activities, two counts of transferring pornographic scenes and images to minors, one count of possessing child pornography, and an additional count of receiving child pornography.

According to U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates, Hutchinson is being held without bond. If convicted, he could possibly face life in prison.
