Coast to Coast and UFOs

Many night owls that are extremely curious about UFOs and other unexplained phenomenon can’t get enough of Coast to Coast AM and the amazing Emmy Award winning host, George Noory. Arizona has swiftly become an area of the country with more sightings than most, and often mentioned on the show.

Following in the footsteps of Art Bell, George is a compassionate, intelligent, open minded, and most gracious and entertaining host that considers all possibilities of things that often have no explanation. On January 1, 2003, Noory took the reigns from Bell and gave the following on-air message to his dear friend.

I will do you proud, the best I can, Art. There comes a time in this life wherever you might be that you have an opportunity to work with someone who is literally…like a god in this business. Someone you can look up to and respect. I've had the opportunity and so now, no matter what happens in this broadcasting business for me, I had a chance to work with Art Bell.

Tonight, Thursday night/Friday morning, Noory is talking live with Linda Moulton Howe, from her location at IUFOC in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Moulton is a scheduled speaker at this year’s IUFOC and is an Emmy Award-winning TV producer, investigative reporter and author who goes directly to the men and women at the forefront of science and environmental challenges and to firsthand eyewitnesses of high strangeness. Her website is earthfiles.com.

Her guests include:
Stanton Friedman - with updates about the Jan. 22 - 25, 2011 Saudi Arabia Competitiveness Forum, which President Bill Clinton attended and gave a keynote address. A panel spoke about the search for other life in the universe.

Jim Marrs - with updates about the “mystery missile launch” off the southern California coast on Nov. 8, 2010 and what the military said.

Travis Walton - about the dreams of blond humanoids that have haunted him since his alleged abduction for five days from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona on November 5, 1975, where Travis worked as a logger.

Following in the footsteps of Art Bell? George Noory isn't even worthy of touch his shoe laces.

Art was a very special man and so is George Noory. We are each unique and that's a good thing.

I wish Art Bell would come back. I don't like George Noory.

Sue you forgot to mention that George SNoory is an inarticulate Buffoon who conducts interviews like a junior high school student, unable to pronounce words, stay on topic, or ask simple follow-up questions.

His statement that you quote is an example of the nonsense that comes out of his mouth. "There comes a time in this life wherever you might be that you have an opportunity to work with someone who is literally…like a god in this business." wtf? . Of course there isn't a time in our lives when that happens. Or his point that no matter what happens, he has worked with Art Bell? wtf again. He hadn't worked with him or even met him. He was his replacement.

A fun but frustrating game to play at home is to listen for a single sentence that George makes that isn't nonsensical, mispronounced, mixed-up, or off-topic.

Sue you call him intelligent. How?? He only has two adjectives that he has repeated constantly for years. Everything is either incredible or fascinating.

Another point is George's lack of respect for the audience and guests: if millions are listening, why not read the guests' book? Why not rehearse the news instead of stumbling through it live? Why not speak with the guest before to prepare? (George has mentioned as a point of pride he never speaks with the guests before they go live).

The sooner he is replaced, the better, and check any coast online forum to see how many people agree. This is the Dark Decade for Coast Lovers.

I find Art and Knapp very strong hosts. I enjoy Ian and Noory too, I find that possibly a strong weekday host followed with Noory/Ian on the weekends who bring a more relaxed conversation. I discovered Coast in '04 though so Art was retired although I have streamlink

Yes, Art IS an incredible man. We've talked to him on HAM radio in the past. Loved his shows, however it's not my style to bash others and please keep in mind he was an impossible act to follow.

George had a hard time focusing on what the guest is saying. He asks questions that guests answered in earlier in the conversation. George will also ask questions that are irrelevant to the topic being discussed. The list of criticisms are lengthy and there are numerous internet sources to draw on where this is documented. It has nothing to do with how good Art was or how hard an act he was to follow. The perception is that Noory just doesn’t put in the effort and doesn’t care. You don't have to bash George but a balanced critique isn’t out of the question either.

George Noory took a One of a Kind radio show that was the X-Files for the radio and turned it into EX-Lax from the radio.

And his so-called "news" segment? On any given night, he completely fractures his newsread. He mispronounces commonly known person and place-names and clearly has trouble reading the copy so badly that occasionally, it's hard to make sense of what he's saying.

And there's always the cute-animal story and a morbid story about someone -- often a child -- suffering some unspeakable tragedy.

He always has the same "commentators" -- clearly from the Right -- making comments from their point of view -- one that George clearly supports.

I think that by doing the "news," he's doing something to a) kill time and b) do something he's sort of familiar with, that is, the news done in a style like the local TV news -- which is the most worthless source of information in the electronic media -- and one that George identifies with.

Noory is a disaster of a host for a program that under Art Bell, was great.
