Coaching program at The Marshes puts juniors on path to success

Children and teens that are keen on realizing their golf dreams can take the first steps to doing so do during this summer’s Transition to Competition (TTC) Coaching Program at The Marshes Golf Club.

Created for junior players ages 10 to 16, the TTC program consists of 20 sessions that are designed to guide boys and girls as they strive to develop their potential.

“The TTC program encompasses all aspects of athletic development and performance in accordance with Golf Canada’s Long Term Player Development Program,” said Andrew Donaldson, director of golf operations at The Marshes. “Our coaches are all PGA of Canada professionals.”

The coaching begins June 24 and ends in early September. Sessions start at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday of each week and are two hours in length.

The sessions include:

  • Equipment Assessment
  • Short Game Evaluation
  • TPI Fitness Screen
  • Playing Lessons
  • Golf Psychology
  • Rules and Etiquette
  • Nutrition
  • Video Analysis
  • One-on-one private instruction
  • Game statistical tracking

The cost of the program is $599.95 plus HST per golfer.
