It's only a few more months before it'll be whispers in the air about hologrammed legends who have passed and come back to grace us with one more performance.
I'm talking about Coachella music and arts festival, held in Indio, California. If you're not familiar with it, you may remember last year they had a lifelike hologram of the late Tupac Shakur perform and he pretty much stole the show; along with Snoop Dogg (now known as Snoop Lion) and Dr Dre. If you can't remember that you must have been under a rock.
This years line-up has been released and some are disappointed because the Rolling Stones were rumored to be performing but, sadly they aren' t. Coachella is always known for it's diversity, and this year is no different. They have headlining this year The Red Hott Chili Peppers, The Blur, The Stone Roses, and French dance rock group Phoenix.
Some other groups set to perform this year are:
the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jurassic 5, Aesop Rock, Nick Romero, Benny Benassi, Moby, rapper; 2 Chainz, R&B/pop singer AND Cover Girl; Janelle Monae (one of my favorites), Danny Brown, (VA’ S OWN) Pusha T, Wu Tang Clan (another one of my faves), the Bad Seeds and wayyyy more. I can’t name them all. The list goes on and on with names of groups I've never heard of and a couple of familiar names here and there. If I were in Cali right now I think I'd save my money on this one. Boooooooring!! Wake me up for Wu, Janelle Monae, Pusha, Danny Brown, and Red Hott Chili Peppers. Snores on the rest. Sorry...
Also rumored to possibly perform, Wu Tang member, the late ODB (Old Dirty Bastard). That would be interesting!!! Guess we have to wait and see.
