You can see CNN's presentation of the facts behind the Richard Fine coercive confinement in L.A. County jail at the order of Judge Jaffe. Click Here. Over 122 people including child rights activist Janette Isaacs already gave the video a thumbs up.
Richard Fine, according to the interview by CNN said he is being held as a political prisoner. He said the real reason he is jailed is that he complained about extra pay and benefits given to State judges by the County of Los Angeles. He calls the payments "bribes" and says the court never rules against the County of Los Angeles in non-jury trials.
The Court's position, according to the CNN report is that Mr. Fine filed frivolous lawsuits that called the judges corrupt. The Court maintains that Mr. Fine was ordered to pay attorney's fees in a case he litigated and refuses to produce financial documents requested in regards to that case.
Proponents of Fine ask why, of all people who refuse to share financial records in court, why is Richard Fine the only one being jailed? And why has he spent over fourteen months in coercive confinement? There is precedent, Fine claims in pleadings for his release, to release a prisoner held on contempt if it is apparent that incarceration will not work to coerce the prisoner.

Is there a legal fund established to help Mr. Fine's case. I'm sure I'm not the only one willing to donate!
Fine should be released...the punishment does not fit the crime...it's clearly showing the judge's corruption by the way they are treating this one man. Time to make this way more visible to the public. Outrageously cruel & unusual is putting it mildly!
They probably won't release him until it is evidence he is physically unable to go back to work. That might be when he's pushing closer to 80. What a tragedy.
This is insanely unjust. Mr. Fine has not committed a crime. How can they "obey" an "illegal" order made by this judge?
Please note, you can e-mail FreeRichardFine@gmail.com if you'd like to donate...
How can the lawsuits be called "frivolous" when details of tax-payer rip off, and case fixings are paramount? What IS frivolous, and deceitful, and corrupt is the illegal, unconscienable, and retaliative treatment this whistle-blower has been subjected to: God, is this America? Super-Country, honorable, above all countries, above North-Korea, Iran, former KGB; superior to South America, Africa, THE MIDDLE-EAST and all EUROPE?
Are these judicial crimes so widespread that the fear that if the Jeanne-Kinc were released from the bottle there would be widespread anarchy? Then, then dear public, perhaps the Supreme Court in its Solomon-like wisdom IS preventing a dooms-day scenario.
Let us continue to insist for a Mandellistic release: In the name of the God that mmade all of us.
Attorney Fine is 70 years old. SHAME ON AMERICA!
I sincerely apologize to the United States Supreme Court: Recently I became extremely vexed with the Court because it had dismissed the "Writ of C" of attorney Fine. I have again given to a pause and some deep self-searching......and that was after reading the article submitted by Mr. Green..."self-inflicted Wounds."
I was at first appalled, how could Mr. Green even suggest self-infliction! So I continued to read on. Atlas there is in fact reasonable and wisdom rulings. This of course does not diminish the overall theft of monies throughout the years (from the California tax-payers)...and the continued corruption as the corruption was grand-fathered......
Please have an open-mind as you read the article (there are 3 parts), and let us pray that attorney Fine comes to his senses: His very important work and discovery, and the promise of the restoration of his license is still (I believe very much alive).
Let us all take a step back, and thank and recognize the burde
I have somone who has hacked into my computer, and is presently bothering me. My final comments from above 6/2/10 is not yet finish. Here it is:
Let us all take a step back, and thank and recognize the burdensome work the United States Supreme Court carries: Certainly, the Court is aware of this situation and all the ramifications including the age of this wonderful human being, attorney Fine. Thank you.
