CNN has just announced their new fall schedule, and there are a couple of changes apparent from the get-go. First, Anderson Cooper is going to try and produce some higher ratings for the network at 8:00 p.m. Eastern -- however, Eliot Spitzer's "In the Arena" is going away in the process.
There has been no official reason given as to why Spitzer's show has been removed from the fall schedule, but another new show featuring Erin Burnett has been added to the schedule below.
- 6-9:00 a.m. EST - "American Morning"
- 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - CNN Newsroom
- 4-6:00 p.m. - "Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer"
- 7:00 p.m. - "Erin Burnett"
- 8:00 p.m. - "Anderson Cooper 360"
- 9:00 p.m. - "Piers Morgan Tonight"
- 10:00 p.m. - "AC360" repeat
- 11:00 p.m. - "Erin Burnett" repeat
- 12:00 p.m. "PMT" repeat
This is going to be a rather busy fall for Cooper, who is also set to launch a daytime talk show. Having this earlier timeslot may be beneficial for him in order for him to try and connect with some of his daytime viewers in primetime.
