CMT star Brad Paisley took to his Twitter to take a few jabs at the title of Paul McCartney's latest album, suggesting the rock legend might need to find some better advisors in his inner circle. The posts began on on Wednesday regarding the oddly-titled ex-Beatle release,"Kisses on the Bottom," and hailing it as an early favorite for worst album title of the year.
Some might say he was being mean to the superstar. Others might say he was being kind, or trying to be, in his own way.
It's only February, but Sir Paul is an absolute lock for worst album title of the year. Actually, maybe all time.
Has anyone explained to Paisley that this McCartney guy has some rather rabid fans? Taking on a Beatle -- even with pretty justifiable cause on this one -- could create quite a backlash. But he was just getting warmed up.
It's like he's kidding. He's got to be kidding. Tell me he's changing the title back to the real one, right? Oh then how we'll laugh and laugh.
To Paisley's defense, he tried to clarify the meaning of the title.
If Paul's album was called "Kisses On The Bum" it could be about a hobo. But I can't think of even 1 other thing Kisses On The Bottom could even mean
Even "Kisses on the Butt" would be better, could mean cigarette. Or heck,"kisses on the ass", possibly a beloved pet donkey. But bottom? Nope.
Beatle or not, McCartney might consider taking some good advice from the country star, who put the blame on those closed to the man.
Dear Team of "Yes Men" surrounding Sir Paul: you really have taken it to a new level. No one said.."uh, Sir,uh..what about..um..hey maybe.."
You know, there are those who might say the same about a few other of McCartney's decisions -- like in matters of marriage. Maybe he should start asking Yoko Ono for career and love advice.
