With the onslaught of winter and the unseasonably cold temperatures, fishing has been reduced to the hardy few who chop a hole in the ice and plop a line in hopes of catching a passing fish.
As for the rest of us we spend our hours in the man cave, hunched over our fly tying apparatus devising combinations of hook, fir and feather that will entice the fish once spring comes again to Ohio.
This is why it is a perfect time to take a break from the winter doldrums and take a trip to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for an evening of food, drink, films, education and socializing with fellow fishing enthusiasts.
The evening starts off with a cocktail reception with light appetizers and a chance to meet the producers of F3T as well as local fly fishing guides and professionals. Following this will be the selections of short films which include a free raffle for quality fly fishing equipment donated by the show sponsors.
Advance tickets are $15.00 and $20.00 at the door the night of the event. You may select to Buy your tickets online in advance or visit the Orvis store in Woodmere or the Backpackers Shop in Sheffield.
Special thank you to the presenting sponsors; Orvis, The Livingston Group, Baker Hostetler and Cortland Line Company, and to our supporting sponsors: The Backpackers Shop, Hill n Dale, Nautilus, Superior Beverage, American Museum of Fly Fishing, Chatellier’s Rare Game Sauce and Conneaut Creek Club.
