The CMA’s were good to Taylor Swift in the nomination department once again this year as she received six nods including Entertainer of the Year, according to GAC TV on Sept. 10. She’s one powerhouse when it comes to music, she has not faded in the least bit.
Swift is no longer the new naïve girl that she was when she took the music scene by storm. Her breakup songs created around a long line of A-list ex-boyfriends has pretty much made her a pop/country music staple.
Besides Entertainer of the Year, Swift is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Red.” Swift also received three nominations for “Highway Don’t Care” with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. They were nominated for Single, Musical Event and Music Video of the Year.
This makes 21 CMA Awards nominations for Swift and she has seven wins under her belt. This includes her win for Horizon Award, which is called New Artist of the Year award today. She won that back in 2007, as her first CMA Award.
She’s won two CMA’s for Entertainer of the Year, one in 2009 and again in 2011. This ties Swift with Barbara Mandrel for the most wins in a category by a female artist. She could break that tie at this year’s CMA Awards.
