Punk, 35, hasn't appeared at any WWE shows since January, but he is expected to make a grand entrance this evening at Wrestlemania 30.
Punk was reportedly spotted at the WWE's 2014 Hall of Fame ceremony, one night prior to Wrestlemania 30.
Additionally, Stone Cold Steve Austin made some startling comments in a recent interview, where he basically hinted that he wants a match with Punk sometime in the near future. Austin also confirmed that he'll be in attendance for Wrestlemania 30, so the match against Punk could possibly happen as soon as tonight.
Adding to the rumors of Punk being in attendance for Wrestlemania 30 is the fact that his fiancee, WWE Divas champ AJ Lee, mysteriously switched hotels the night before the big event.
The WWE has remained tight-lipped on the matter, as they would like for it to be a secret. However, the clues surrounding Punk's return are fairly obvious.
If Punk really was done with the WWE, all he would need to do would be to send out a tweet or press release regarding his retirement from pro wrestling.
Since Punk failed to address the matter, WWE Universe firmly believes he'll be back in action at some point.
The WWE hasn't done much to calm down rumors of Punk's return either, having gone months without officially issuing a formal announcement on his departure.
If Punk does come back to the WWE fold at Wrestlemania 30, there's a couple different things the WWE could do.
They could have Punk interfere with one of the scheduled matches, or they could have him participate in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
27 men have been announced already for Wrestlemania 30's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, so that means there will be three surprise entrants. Perhaps Punk will be one of them.
