CM Punk removed from Wrestlemania XXX poster

According to a Jan. 31 report from Wrestlezone, CM Punk has been removed from all promotional advertising displays for Wrestlemania XXX, including the event's official poster.

The current Wrestlemania XXX poster features big names such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton, but CM Punk has been cropped out.

Punk, 35, left the WWE after this week's "Monday Night Raw," because he was apparently upset about not being pushed as a major star.

Just one night before "Raw" was taped, Punk battled for 50 minutes inside the WWE Royal Rumble 2014. Despite his efforts, Batista was scripted to win the Royal Rumble instead of Punk.

Since the WWE didn't have CM Punk scheduled to win, he was apparently so annoyed that he decided to go back home to Chicago, Ill.

Punk's WWE contract expires this July, and he was so mad about not being featured in the Wrestlemania XXX main event that he left the company.

"I was back in a place when I walked away from the company. I didn't like what they had to tell me," "Stone Cold" Steve Austin said of the Punk situation. "I think he was backed against a corner, he got a little frustrated and went home.

"I think one of two things will happen. I think Vince will fly down to Chicago or wherever he is and work some Jedi mind tricks and convince him to come back. Or maybe he will think through the process, and he's got a lot of years left in the tank - and never leave money on the table when you can go ahead and make that money."

Punk may return to pro wrestling sometime in the future, but for now it looks like his relationship with the WWE is quite strained.

WWE legend Ric Flair has been tapped as Punk's replacement for the WrestleMania AXXESS events, which include autographs and photo ops.

Wrestlemania XXX goes down on Apr. 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event will be the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Louisiana.
