CM Punk has been spending down time playing NHL '94 for Sega Genesis

According to a May 19 report from Wrestling Inc., CM Punk has finally returned to the public eye, and he decided to reveal what he's been up to since walking away from the WWE earlier this year. Punk, 35, sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" at Wrigley Field as part of a seventh-inning stretch tradition. After the song, Punk did a question-and-answer segment with the Cubs' color commentators.

Punk told them that he has been spending his down time playing NHL '94 for Sega Genesis. Punk loves hockey and he also enjoys video games. Apparently he has put his two passions together and thats the main reason for playing the game so much. He told the Cubs' announcers that he won the Stanley Cup 18 times on NHL '94 for Sega Genesis.

Punk sounded like a man who is perfectly happy in retirement, and it seems returning to the WWE is the furthest thing from his mind. Punk has a lot on his plate. He's set to marry WWE diva AJ Lee next month, and he's been busy keeping up with his beloved Chicago Blackhawks.

Punk recently snapped a four-month Twitter hiatus, but only to troll the Los Angeles Kings' mascot. The former pro wrestling superstar didn't mention anything about the WWE or the status of his return to the sport he rose to fame in. Punk only popped up on Twitter to challenge the Kings' mascot, Bailey, to a contest.

Punk told Bailey if the Kings beat the Blackhawks, then he would wear a Los Angeles hockey jersey at a Chicago home game. If Chicago wins, then Bailey would have to wear a Blackhawks jersey at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both parties apparently agreed to the bet.

Punk walked away from the WWE following this year's Royal Rumble, and he never really addressed the situation. He hasn't stated if he'll be returning to action later this year, or if he is done with pro wrestling for good. Since he never discussed the matter, WWE Universe has been speculating about his return ever since.

Nevertheless, its nice to see Punk content and happy with whatever he is doing in life, even if that is playing NHL '94 for Sega Genesis. If all he wants to do is play video games all day, so be it. Its his life and he can do whatever he wants to do. Punk is a grown adult, and he has worked enough in his life to have earned the right to do as he pleases.
