CM Punk fears getting stabbed by WWE fans camped outside his home

According to a May 11 report from What Culture, former pro wrestling superstar CM Punk fears leaving his Chicago home because of the swarm of rowdy WWE fans that camp on his block. Punk's former girlfriend, Natalie Slater, says the WWE legend can't even leave his house to take out the trash without getting bombarded by fans seeking photos and autographs.

Even more disturbing was her comment that Punk is afraid of getting stabbed by an out-of-control wrestling fanatic. Most WWE fans have respected Punk's privacy, but all it takes is one idiot to ruin things. Punk, 35, annoyed some fans by walking away from the WWE following this year's Royal Rumble. Five months later, Punk hasn't offered much of a public statement on his situation.

With that said, a growing number of WWE fans are looking for an explanation. Is Punk ever coming back to the WWE? Is he officially retired? At this point, fans just want some answers. Since Punk doesn't seem willing to reveal what is on his mind, he's apparently scared to leave his house due to the threat of a stabbing.

Since leaving the WWE earlier this year, Punk hasn't been spotted much in public. There was some speculation that he was on hand for Wrestlemania 30 in New Orleans, but that rumor turned out to be false. The only place he has been officially spotted since leaving the WWE was at a regular season Chicago Blackhawks game a couple months back.

Following his departure from the WWE, Punk has found several fans camping out near trash cans outside his home. He has also found people putting candy and notes through his letter box. This wacky fan interaction has apparently caused Punk to be a bit paranoid when he leaves the house, and rightfully so.

Punk is a celebrity, but he's also a human being just like everyone else. He deserves to have some privacy, even though he spent much of the past decade in the public eye. No one knows for sure if Punk is ever returning to the WWE. Time will tell how the situation plays out, but until then falls should stop camping outside his home and leave him alone for a while.
