Clutching the Golden Globes

Harry Winston bestowed many diamonds to the welcomed guests of the 70th Annual Golden Globes last night. For the last couple years, an abundance of jewelry has not been the forte' of the highly acclaimed award shows, but subtlety instead. A standout piece or two pieces that complemented each other as an accessory to a gown, seemed to be the longer trend. Simple yet elegant, is always a winner.

It needs to be said that with this year's female attendees in their bold color dresses with dramatic hemlines, there actually was an accessory that seemed to be secretly held by many of the women. The evening clutch was back in action in abundance, much more than in past years. The details on the clutches, the stones, beadwork, and sequins added such a statement piece to the beautiful gowns.

It is quite refreshing to see the amazing clutches with their dynamic designs as they can be made just beautifully. Some clutches absolutely carry so much detail within them, it is as if they are their own art pieces. Between, Harry Winston and the many clutches, the women of the Golden Globes were outstandingly accessorized.
