Club Passim presents book launch, gold medalist, & singer-storytellers this week

Spend the last few day of April with a local sister act, a gold medalist, a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and novelist are just a few of the live entertainment options offered at Club Passim, located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, easily accessible by train!

Boston-based singer-songwriting sister act Ari and Mia add Southern and northeastern fiddle to the early American songbook to Club Passim on Sunday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m. Their new release is called, ‘Land on Shore!’ Stay a little longer and come to a Robbie Schaefer’s CD release party of ‘Ruby’ featuring Boston native, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jake Armerding and singer-songwriter Rachael Davis at 8 p.m.

Aoife O’Donovan is one busy performer. Not only is she the lead singer of Crooked Still, but has performed with the esteemed cellist Yo-Yo Ma on the Grammy-winning album, ‘The Goat Rodeo Sessions.’ She is playing two sold-out Club Passim shows on Monday, April 28!

Be a part of a CD release party for a diverse female performer whose fiddle style explores a wide range of music styles such as Western Classical, folk, Celtic, Canadian, jazz, and tango! Award-winning performer Mari Black will share the intense energy on the Club Passim stage on Tuesday, April 29 at 8 p.m.

After attending Syracuse University Law School, singer-songwriter Colleen Sexton knew that music was truly in her future. She has used her music to raise money for charitable causes. She takes the stage with Boston singer-songwriters Carrie Cheron and Mark Lipman on Wednesday, April 30 at 8 p.m.

Club Passim changes gears with music producer Jim Rooney book launch! Pat Alger is an accomplished songwriting veteran, having been named the Nashville Songwriters Association Songwriter of the Year, ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, as well as a number of other accolades. Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Livingston and James Taylor are a few of a number of popular artists who have recorded his music. They will both take the stage on Thursday, May 1 at 8 p.m.

Discover the comedic lyrics and lively performance of Brooklyn, New York performer Margaret Glasby and Oakland singer-songwriter Jennah Bell on Friday, 8 p.m. Master Indian classical musician Vinayak Sharma, a gold medalist from University of Rajasthan, performs on Saturday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m. Nashville songwriter, storyteller, and entertainer Christopher Williams takes the stage on Saturday, May 3 at 8 p.m.
