Club 64 charges $29.99 to bring your own marijuana

Club 64 charges $29.99 to bring your own marijuana. The brand new Colorado hot spot offers a place where users can enjoy smoking recreational marijuana, there's only one catch. You have to bring your own. The club opened on Mon., Dec. 31, 2012 just in time for the New Year's Eve party crowd. Recreational marijuana use in legal in Colorado thanks to a recent constitutional amendment, however, the drug is still illegal under federal law.

According to The Daily Mail, Club 64 made its triumphant opening at 4:20 p.m. when attorney Robert Corry cut the ribbon for the new club. Public use of marijuana is still illegal under the new law. However, Corry said that private pot dens are legal under state law providing marijuana is not sold on the premises. Hence the club's "bring your own pot" policy.

Where is Club 64? The pot-smoking club will actually be held at a variety of different establishments. It does not have one physical location. The first meeting of the club was held in a hemp-based clothing store near downtown Denver. Members will meet once per month, and the $29.99 fee must be paid to attend each meeting; it is not a one-time fee.
