A weak stationary front just south of the area will remain in place today, then slowly move northward as a warm front on Tuesday. With the front in the vicinity, it will remain cloudy and somewhat unsettled through mid week.
For today, it will be cloudy with a chance of a rain shower. Highs will be around 40. Winds SW around 5 mph.
Tonight, cloudy with a chance of a rain shower and possibly a little drizzle or freezing drizzle. Lows will be around 30. Winds light and variable.
Tuesday will be cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the low 40s. Winds SW 5-10 mph.
Tuesday night will be cloudy with a chance of a shower. Lows will be in the upper 30s.
On Wednesday, low pressure will begin to strengthen to our west. Deeper moisture will stream northward across the area along with milder air. It will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs will be near 50 degrees.
Looking ahead: A cold front will slide eastward across the area on Thursday. Rain is likely as the front moves through. Highs will be in the mid 40s. Temperatures will fall behind the front and rain could change to snow Thursday night.
Friday will be cloudy with a chance of snow as a wave of low pressure moves by to our south. Highs on Friday will reach the mid 30s.
Snow or snow showers will continue through Saturday with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 20s.
